District 4 UG Commissioner
MONDAY, AUGUST 19TH
MY VISION & DIRECTION IF ELECTED
As the commission allows the elected Commissioner to appoint several members of the community to the same number of advisory boards. My interest is to stay in contact with all areas that affect our community and to make sure the interest of the community stands First.
Therefore it is my strategy to also gather all the Advisory Board Appointees in a single group and hold constant interactions amongst ourselves so what the right hand is doing is well known by the left hand and vice versa to Enhance effective communication and accountability. This group I am calling The Commissioner's Advisory Board. This is about WE. This group will also keep me grounded and in connection with our communities to make sure our visions align and no voice goes unheard.
My Advisory Board, will not be limited to the appointed members of all advisory boards but also community leaders and community members experts on critical matters for community that will help improve our Safety and Quality of Life.
The voices of all need to be integrated onto the commissions message and actions every step of the way and I am determined to bring this to the table. I do not make the agenda, I alone do not determine direction, I will be your driving force and voice to bring your concerns to the commission and make sure you are well represented.
I am a result of the community and by the community I will stand either elected or not. The commissioner's appointment will only enhance the community's ability to have the say it deserves in all matters and to promote the growth and development of the community for its benefit.
I believe in democracy and social justice for all, where majority always wins without excluding anyone. We are all part of the solution but #WeThePeople have to work together. #Flores4Commissioner
